A big THANK YOU to Pavel and Dragon Door

I can't give enough praise for what I walked away with from the Level II RKC. Thanks all, and I look forward to seeing you in the near future! Sara

has ever put on. Pavel, Mike Mahler, Steve Maxwell, Brett Jones and Andrea each delivered three and a half hours of immensely useful information that would extend the skills and knowledge base of any RKC. It was an absolute goldmine for anyone serious about their career as a KB trainer. Those who made the effort to attend, including RKCs from South Africa, Denmark and Canada, were hugely rewarded by the quality and depth of the training provided. Sara, I was impressed with your dedication, intensity and and skill level Good job!

Question

So thoughts i would like to share...

Why is it some one will spend $200 dollars a money at a GNC, but not $150 for a book and a KB, that will last forever? why does a person complain about the cost of fitness equipment, but will spend $100 at the bar on a friday night? i have heard a lot of complaining concerning cost of equipment, but people waste so much cash on other things i am not specifically speaking about any product or seller either, but the whole trend. People spend 7 dollars an issue on MuscleMag, which does not provide ANY useful strength training information, mean while, the same amount of money over a year, could get you a program from some of the top strength coaches in the world. Just a pet peeve of mine. Your body is the only thing that you really own. everything else can be taken from you (technically your body too, but you knwo what i mean) Take care of yourselves people!

"Yes, you do. You have all the time there is." Regarding price and value: I cannot count the number of times I have gone to a restuarant and blown anywhere from $30 to well over $100 on a meal. One day later, I have nothing to show for it, other than a faint memory. Get a good training book or tool and you are looking forward to potentially years of solid benefits. When people complain about price I think it's usually because they don't see or understand the value of what's being offered.

Someone needs to approach Shaq about kettlebells. n/m

Answer

John Du Cane: June 12 2006

Phil Jackson invited him to teach the Lakers qigong on a regular basis for two of the years they won the championship. Quote from his site: In 2000 and 2001, Terry trained the World Champion Los Angeles Lakers in Tai Chi and Kung Fu as a regular warm-up method to their training regimen. In pre-Pavel days I had Terry out to Minnestoa for a couple of great Flying Phoenix system qigong seminars. I remember Pavel particularly liking the Flying Phoenix when I showed it to him many years ago. It's scary to think what Shaq would have been like with KB training!

I do agree with Ross's article - a conditioning program is where you work on strength and other "weak" links - you then transfer that to your goal activity through skill practice.
