Kettlebell Basics DVD - any news when it will arrive/ship?

was a little disconcerting to learn 5 days after placing the order that the DVD hadn't been received @ Dragon Door yet; couldn't that fact have been mentioned at some point between the e-mail announcement and the order confirmation??? Or was it mentioned & I was just too dense to notice? Anyway: an update, please!

Answer

John Du Cane: June 03 2005

There was a shipping date on our site. However the DVD, which is brand new was shipped one week later to us than expected. We expect now to start shipping them either this Friday or Monday. I apologise for the delay which was beyond our control.

When will the pictures from the Level II RKC be posted? N/M

Answer

John Du Cane: June 19 2005

Yes, the first one was a specialist training in Kettlebells for Combat Applications. Over forty of our RKCs attended, plus five senior RKCs. All RKC's were both emailed and physically mailed at least twice each about it. Did you not somehow see it? We will be doing many more Level Two RKC specialties in the future.

Qigong Question

Hi,i own copy of qigong,I wish to know that whether minor error of performing the form will affect the progress?thanks

Answer

John Du Cane: June 20 2005

In most cases, the answer is no, but without knowing what the actual "minor error" is that is a hard question to answer. For instance, if the "minor error" was not pulling up the perineum when required, your progress would be slower. If it was a way you moved your limbs, the effect on your progress may be negligible.

Qi Gong healing questions

Comrades, A life long friend, a dedicated karateka for decades, developed a form of cancer that required the removal of a section of his skull. The restorative procedures required harvesting and grafting vascular material from his forearm to his head. ( I am not solid on all the medical/anatomical detail. Admittedly, this is a rough sketch, but should suffice to make the point.) He has had to deal with a long recovery, pain and loss of function, inability to sleep, and so on. ( Not to mention related stresses, eg; effect on family life, career, and so forth.) If anything, my admiration and respect for him has deepened as he has faced every challenge with courage and a wonderful attitude. While he is now at the point that he conducts most non-strenuous activities of daily life, ( walking, driving, etc.,) his doctors have ruled out any vigorous activity that would dramatically raise his pulse and/or blood pressure. ( I don't know if he'll ever be cleared to do balistics or grinds. Hopefully, someday, but who knows ? ) I thought that a Qi Gong DVD might be a nice gift. As I am unfamiliar with Qi Gong myself, other than what I've read in the Vitalics brochure, my question is, are all the movements very gentle, and consistent with the medical limitations described above ? Any related feedback will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Eddie

Answer

Eddie Qigong varies enormously from the very demanding and challenging to the very gentle. He should certainly be able to handle and benefit from Bliiss Qigong and Recharge Qigong which are both at teh gentler end of the spectrum.

Mr.Ducane

Dear Mr. Ducane, I have ordered the (Beyond Bodybuilding) ebooks on the DD website about two weeks ago. Due to a problem with the downloading I am not able to install them on my computer. I have emailed DD several times already. The first reply was an email on how to download the ebooks. I have tried the guidelines mentioned in that email. But again downloading failed. Untill now I have emailed the webmaster twice to explain my problem but I haven't received a reply. I would like very much to have some assistance in the matter... Thank you in advance. Kind regards Bart

I first took up Kung Fu at the age of around 35. There were weeks where I would be practicing two or more hours five days of the week. I spent about five years doing very demanding Wu Shu-like practices and did very fine.
