We will be doing the promotion in about a week.
However we are expecting some relatively large PR this weekend so wanted to make sure it was at least up.
You are correct, this is an extremely female-friendly DVD and Andrea has done a wonderfully thorough job with it.
Kristann Heinz and Nicole do a terrific job too.

Kettlebells in Pregnancy
|
|
Has anyone got some good information on KB training during pregnancy? Before pregnancy my partner has been doing 3 sets of 5 windmills, side press and clean/military press with 8KG KB, then 3-4 sets of 5 snatches, one arm swings and cleans with the 12KG. She's now ten weeks gone and not sure what she should be avoiding and what is safe.
Cheers.

She has written an excellentt article on this subject (she is also the mother of a small child) which will be published in the Vitalics coming out next month.
It is based on her talk on Kettlebells and Pregnany in Andrea Du Cane's new Kettlebell Goddess DVD
See link in the left navigation beside this forum.

The Beast to be featured on Kare-11 News at 10 p.m. tonight
|
|
According to Joe Pavel, RKC, the local NBC affiliate will be showcasing a segment on their "Perk at Play" feature with Eric Perkins meeting The Beast.
Hopefully, it will be added to their website:

also showed Pavel's Power to the People book and we got to see him swinging a number of different size bells.
Very funny to see him drop the Beast on his foot and walk off on crutches threatening to sue..
.
And I liked the remark about the cats and your kettlebell sandpit.
Gotta hand it to you, Joe, for pulling it off and gotta hand it to you having a Vote for BEAST tee available. That was kind of an inside joke after seeing you in a Vote for Pedro tee that one day. Should be a winner!

physical exercise, so we can expect this to be a kind of Napolean Dynamite of kettlebells situation.
(I realize that may be unfair on Napolean, he had some nifty moves at the end there...)
Super Klutz gets Beasted, or something like that.... it could be very funny.
"Vote for BEAST" tee anyone?

RKC Pass Rate
|
|
Thinking of doing the RKC next year and was wondering how many people tend to fail.
Also, I will probably have to travel outside the UK to do it so having to do a resit might be a bit costly!

It varies from cert to cert, depending on the quality of that group, however the fail rate is around twenty percent usually.
Make sure to seek out a good RKC in the UK to give you some extra training before you come over, then you should be fine.
Jonathan Lewis would be a very good RKC choice to study with.
