Good news

Well the Ortho visit when well, I have some bad bone spurs in my right knee and fluid build up behind the knee cap.....yeah I know, that's good news? But for now there will be no surgery required, instead I got the long needle with Cortisone in it. Kinda hurt last night but this morning mach better. So I got up went outside and did 5x5 one handed swings with my 35's, then 1x4 pushpresses with my 53's an then 1x3 pushpresses with my 70. All feels pretty good so I'm going to start working back up to things next week and go back to my Karate class and maybe the Systema class. Anyway, ya'll have a great weekend and stay cool...its gonna be 100 degrees here this weekend..whew.

jpein, Personal and formerly professional opinion - rest for three days after getting a "cortisone" shot - you want the anti-inflammatory action to take hold and break the cycle - walking and very easy joint mobility drills - then start to build back up. Brett

Ever get the jitters after working out?

Sometimes after a real taxing workout I feel kind of shaky and jittery. Is this a blood sugar thing, fatigue, lactic acid or what? Also should I be concerned?

blackrt, shaking in the hands especially can be a sign of CNS being taxed from the workout. Depends on what your training looks like and what your diet is like - Bill is certainly the man there. Brett
