I think that overtraining does of course lead to lower T levels and most hard training athletes have lower T levels than people that do not train at all. Case in point is my father who does not workout at all and is in his 60s. His T levels are higher tham most of my online male clients who are former stimulus junkies. So much for hard training and high T levels. The article I wrote is on focusing on workouts that are 45 minutes or less so that T and GH does not drop off. Based on Bulgarian studies with OL lifters. ? for Mike Mahler

Mike, First, I'd like to say that I enjoyed your latest article on this website. I usually enjoy your articles. My question is this: Right now, funds are a little bit on the limited side, so getting any more kettlebells than I already have is out of the question. I have a 35, 53 and 70. The 70 is a bit difficult for snatches and a few other exercises. Since I can't do doubles right now, will this weight still be okay to train with heavy bells? I am asking this because I work out as well as train in MMA (even though i don't plan on professionally fighting) and I want to incorporate your teachings into my training. Thanks for your time, Kris

Right now I am primarily using kettlebells for training, some clubbells. Lifeline cables, and a little bit of dumbbell work. In the near future I plan on buying a house and setting up a home gym with a squat rack. I really want to get deadlifts, squats, Barbell presses, floor presses, and barbell bent over rows back into my training. Mike Mahler

thanks for the praise and also why just do KB only workouts. Add some barbell work, dumbbells, etc and get the best of both worlds. Mike Mahler

Mike Mahler ? about wide grip pull ups

Mike in your latest newsletter which my team and I always find insightful, as well as having all of your DVD'S. Anyways, your interview with, Dr. Wong replies to the question "Which exercises should trainees avoid?" Confused us. We were wondering if you could help us out. Our job requires us to do palm facing outward pulls with no kipping, or cheating. For our Quarterly PT Test. From reading your latest newsletter although understandable and makes sence, but from what we gather, we're screwing ourselves up and should not be doing wide grip pull ups, palms facing forward. Is that what we are supose to get out of this? We're hoping that our reading of this newsletter, falls inline with Operator Error, Head Space and Timing, error of our own. Can you please clear this up. LIVE STRONG!!! Rob G

I would email your question to Dr Wong. Personally I have never had problems with pull-up and neither have my clients. Mike Mahler
