Question

The simplicity of strength

is no secret! High volume/low-med. intensity strenth practice always delivers... Going from being able to double military press two beasts for 1 rep back in august my limit has now increased to 3 reps and the one kb Military press has increased from 56kg to 58,5kg (a 24kg+32kg+2,5kg plate). The backbone of my strength practice has been high volume and low-med. intensity.. For examle todays Military Press session consisted of a total of 200L/200R reps with the 32kg bell in 51 min. broken down into sets of 5 reps. At this point it seems that the right thing to do is to retire the 32kg bell and start using the 40kg for high volume days. Having one high volume and one low volume session per week while manipulating density seems to do wonders for strength increases... Try it and youŽll see. /Kenneth Jay

Very impressive pressing numbers Kennenth and I like your program. No doubt two high volume workouts would be too much for most trainees. One high high volume day and one medium day where you can focus more on the practice of pressing is a great combination. Mike Mahler
